Come and unwind on our two and a half hour mug slab building workshop. This offers participants the opportunity to create their own unique mugs through hands-on instruction and demonstration. During this session, Pip will provide a step-by-step demonstration of slab-building technique, which involves rolling out clay into flat slabs that can be shaped and assembled over a form.

Participants then have the freedom to personalise their mugs, experimenting with textures, patterns, and decorations. Bringing creativity as each individual brings their own vision to life.

All mugs will be bisque fired then glazed in your chosen glaze, making it dishwasher proof. The workshop is for all skill levels, making it an engaging experience for both beginners and more seasoned potters looking to refine their techniques. Pinch Pot  Mug and Bowl Workshop

Join us for a two and half hour Pinch Pot Workshop, where Libby will guide you through the art of creating your very own mug and bowl. Make your family Workshop

Join us for a creative clay workshop with a difference. Create your family in clay, capturing the essence of your loved ones, pets included. You will have the opportunity to decorate your creations with vibrant ceramic slips, adding a personalized touch to each figure.

Whether you wish to craft a charming duo with your furry companions or a full family portrait, Libby will guide you through the process. All figures will be carefully fired and framed for your collection, allowing you to display your unique, handcrafted art in your home.

This is a 4-hour course designed to inspire creativity and connection through art. Now all you have to do is remember what they look like.

Butter Dish Workshop

Oil Burner Workshop

Come and join us for a 2.5-hour Slab Building Workshop led by Pip, where you will craft your own unique oil burner. Pip will guide you through each step with clear instructions, teaching you how to roll, cut, and assemble your oil burner. The sessions are designed to support creativity in a friendly environment. Your oil burner will be bisque fired and glazed using your selected glaze, which you will choose on the day of the workshop. You will leave with a beautifully crafted, functional oil burner that will enhance your living space.

This workshop is suitable for anyone looking to explore their artistic skills, regardless of prior experience. Come and enjoy the therapeutic process of working with clay while creating a special piece for your home.

Fruit bowl / Dog bowl Workshop

Join us for a 2.5-hour workshop where you will have the opportunity to create your own unique fruit bowl or dog bowl. Led by Pip, this session will guide you through the essential techniques of slab building. You will learn how to roll, cut, and assemble your chosen bowl, with clear instructions provided every step of the way.

This workshop encourages you to express your individuality by incorporating different textures, patterns, and decorative elements into your design. It aims to foster creativity in a supportive and friendly environment, making it suitable for participants of all skill levels.

At the end of the session, your bowl will be bisque fired and glazed using your selected glaze, which you will choose during the workshop. Join us for a rewarding and enjoyable experience working with clay, while creating something special for yourself or a furry friend.

Fancy a brew? We’ve got you covered with great tea and coffee facilities - and of course biscuits! There is also a delightful selection of handmade mugs to choose from (although picking the perfect mug might take longer than it takes for the kettle to boil).

We use stoneware clay and custom in-house glazes, to make each piece food and dishwasher safe. We first fire to 1000 degrees, after which a glaze of your choosing will be applied and fired to 1230 degrees.


Our courses are kept small, so you get the full benefit of our expert advice while in a cosy, friendly setting, with only a maximum of 6 students per course. All courses are designed for beginners, returners and people wanting to refresh their skills. Please note that as a small independent studio, we have limited space and can only store fired pieces for up to 12 weeks.

Refund policy

To cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 14 days’ notice before the event. This will then give both parties a chance to reschedule on the nearest convenient session. If less than 14 days’ notice is given prior to the session, then please understand, as we are a small independent ceramic studio we will be unable to issue a refund.
